Trivia Night 2019 – Success!

The Haven of Grace hosted our 9th annual Trivia Night on Friday, March 29, 2019.  This fun event took place at The Jewish Community Center’s Staenberg Family Complex.  Maureen Strasheim and Sandra Darr co-chaired the event which was attended by more than 200 people.  Bob Huff from Trivia Funhouse served as emcee for the evening and provided the challenging and entertaining trivia questions.

Trivia Night featured friendly competition as teams of 10 competed in 10 rounds of trivia.  Categories ranged over a variety of topics including music, celebrities, history, sports, and more.   The baby-themed dollar games brought fun side competitions to the evening, and the lottery board raffle was an in-demand ticket!  The silent auction featured 30 items including museum passes, family fun experiences, dance lessons, and tickets to sporting events, concerts and shows throughout the city.

Trivia Night participants gave generously to The Haven by picking “flowers” from their blooming plant centerpieces.  Each flower represented an item that would help support The Haven’s motivated mothers and their children.

Trivia Night raised $22,000 to support The Haven of Grace.  All funds raised during the event will go directly to supporting The Haven’s core programs.  These programs provide a safe, nurturing home, educational programs and long-term support for mother and child.  For more information about The Haven of Grace’s programs, please visit our Programs page.
