Raises More than $30,000 for Moms and Babies

The Haven of Grace hosted Trivia Night on Friday, October 21, 2016.  This fun event was presented by Cass Commercial Bank and took place at The Jewish Community Center’s Staenberg Family Complex.  Jeanne Scannell and Peggy Stonum co-chaired the event which was attended by more than 250 people.  Fox2 reporter and native St. Louisian Katherine Hessel served as emcee for the evening.

Trivia Night featured friendly competition as teams of 10 competed in 10 rounds of trivia.  Categories ranged over a variety of topics including music, celebrities, history, sports, and more.  The Heads and Tails contest and “The Baby Game” brought fun side competitions to the evening.  The Silent Auction boasted jewelry, gift baskets, sports memorabilia, and tickets to the Blues, Cardinals, Royals, and Billikens.

Trivia Night participants gave generously to The Haven by purchasing leaves to fill The Giving Tree.  Each leaf represented an item that would help support The Haven’s motivated young mothers and their children.  By the end of the night, The Giving Tree was overflowing from the generosity of the attendees!

Trivia Night raised over $30,000 for The Haven of Grace, a residential facility serving women who are young, homeless and pregnant.  Offering a safe, nurturing home, educational programs and long-term support for mother and child, The Haven instills hope, dignity and the pride of independence, one family at a time.
